Candle Care, Information, & Safety
In order to fully enjoy your candle and make it as long-lasting as possible,
we offer the following guidelines:
-
Tumbler jars with lids should be held by the candle itself; the lid is not secured to the glass and cannot hold the weight of the candle.
-
For the first burn, light the candle for 2-4 hours. This will help the wax to burn all the way to the sides of the jar and allow for more even melting throughout the life of the candle.
-
Trim the wick each time you burn the candle. This is a crucial aspect of candle care that, if not followed, can be a hazard. Trimming the wick to 1/2 inch will allow for a more even burn.
-
Keep burning candles away from drafts and vents.
-
Always burn your candle on a heat-resistant surface (no cloth or paper!)
-
Discontinue use of candle when 1/4 inch of wax remains.
-
To re-use the container, simply wash the empty jar with warm soapy water and use it to hold your favorite things.
